The Foundations Project was founded by Charlotte Haggie and Martha Damu, two Zimbabwean women who are passionate about the education and care of children in their country. Today, The Foundations Project is run by Patience Chiyangwa who works closely with Martha and the staff on the ground to ensure that children are given the best possible education and care and that they are given the foundations for a better future.
The Foundations Project is an organization grown out of the need for preschool education for orphaned and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe. We aim to provide a space where children can come to grow, develop and feel safe. We teach them, feed them and invite their caregivers to get involved through income generating projects, training and working at the centre.
